Atari has announced a full collection of its 50th anniversary cartridges for collectors. The box set will run you an eye-watering $1000, but it contains carts for all 10 of the Atari 50th Anniversary games, including Missile Command, Yars' Revenge, Breakout, and more.
In a press release, Atari reveals that there are only 100 copies of this box set available. The carts themselves boast reimagined artwork and an acrylic top that will light up when you insert them into an Atari 2600. Naturally, since these carts are fully compatible with Atari 2600 consoles, these are the original versions of the games rather than their Recharged counterparts. Each cartridge's box will feature a reworked version of the classic Atari game's original box art, and when they're all present in the collection together, they will bear the Atari 50 logo in honor of the brand's 50th anniversary. This collection comes courtesy of Atari XP, the initiative announced back in 2021 whereby Atari sells and reissues rare carts and new collector's items.

As well as the cartridges themselves, each collector's box set comes with a custom acrylic cartridge stand, as well as a color-printed instruction manual, a collectible pin made from enamel, and a collectible patch made with a polyester blend. Atari says its new carts are manufactured to "exacting standards" and will draw the exact same amount of power as the originals.
If you're interested in pre-ordering a box set, you can do so over on the official Atari website. Atari says orders will ship in 3 to 4 months, so you might want to get your pre-order in now if you're sure you want a set.
